We all know how important it is to STAY AWAY from the tanning bed, right? I tried tanning in a bed for one whole month in 8th grade with all my friends and my skin - DID NOTHING! That’s how pale/weird I am.
You want to look natural
I really just embraced my skin tone in high school and stayed away from the self tanners. As I got a little older I tried a few, but they just looked blotchy and orange.

I typically take showers at night to let my big huge hair have some air dry time. The day before I am ready for tanner I use an exfoliant to prepare my skin for a great tan!

Applying the sunless tanner
You cannot mess this up. Legs first, then arms. Repeat for a second layer.
You can see it going on, so I just smooth it out everywhere until you can no longer see the gel. I don’t put any extra on my feet I just use what I have on my hands. This particular brand is also safe for your face!
I do not use any gloves and I wash my hands in between legs and arms just so its not too thick.
Once my tanner is completely dry, so several hours later or next morning; I apply Body Butter to keep my skin moisturized, which prolongs your tan.
The great thing about this sunless tanner is it fades pretty evenly so you don’t have to worry about it becoming blotchy. If you need to take your tanner off you can use the exfoliant.
Don't forget your sunscreen since there isn't any SPF in sunless tanner!
